The SXSW screening of Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come didn’t end when the credits rolled. It carried straight into one of the weekend’s most talked about after parties at Austin Proper Hotel, where a tight guest list of talent and insiders kept the momentum going late into the night.
Sarah Michelle Gellar led the room alongside Shawn Hatosy, with Kathryn Newton and Arielle Kebbel also in attendance, making the gathering a low-key but star-driven highlight of the festival’s social circuit with familiar faces from different eras of film and television sharing the same space without any of it feeling overproduced.

Austin Proper once again proved why it continues to be a go to hub during SXSW. Designed by Kelly Wearstler, the hotel’s layered interiors and relaxed luxury created a setting that felt intentionally removed from the chaos outside. Instead of a packed, shoulder to shoulder party, the atmosphere leaned more toward intimate conversations, curated cocktails, and that unmistakable industry energy where everyone in the room seems to know exactly why they’re there.
Presented by Searchlight Pictures, the after party delivered a more refined close to the film’s SXSW moment, offering a space where cast, creatives, and festival insiders could connect without the usual noise.
