Inspired by the cult 1989 horror comedy, The ’Burbs reimagines the chaos of suburban life for a modern audience. The new series follows a young couple who return to the husband’s childhood neighborhood, hoping for a fresh start, only to find their quiet cul-de-sac unraveling when a mysterious new neighbor arrives. Long-buried secrets resurface, paranoia spreads, and the illusion of peaceful suburbia quickly turns dangerous.
The series stars Keke Palmer as Samira Fisher alongside Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, and Kapil Talwalkar. Created and executive produced by Celeste Hughey, with Rachel Shukert also serving as writer and executive producer, Palmer executive produces in addition to leading the cast.
The ‘Burbs series streams on February 8 on Peacock.
